Binance’s Latest Proof of Reserves Shows Increase in User Assets, Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin Makes Donation
In a recent report released by Binance on July 1, it was revealed that user assets on the platform have seen significant growth. The 20th proof of reserves indicated that user BTC holdings have increased by 4.01% since June 1, reaching a total of 605,637 BTC. Similarly, user ETH assets saw a 1.01% increase, totaling 4.711 million ETH. However, user USDT assets experienced a decline of 2.54%, dropping to 21.51 billion USDT.
In a separate development, two new addresses have acquired a total of 10,798 ETH from both Binance and Coinbase in the past month, valued at around $32.54 million. Notably, a significant portion of these ETH, worth $13.41 million, was withdrawn to an on-chain wallet within the past hour. These addresses, believed to be institutional, have staked 3,616 ETH to the Ethereum beacon chain.
In another notable transaction, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin made a donation of 100 ETH, approximately $300,000, to the multi-signature contract 0x82…a9FE. This transfer is suspected to be a contribution to the 2077 Collective, a community-driven organization dedicated to promoting Ethereum adoption.
