Bitdeer Technologies Group Announces Mining and Operations Updates for June 2024
Bitdeer Technologies Group, a global leader in blockchain and high-performance computing, has announced significant updates in its mining and operations for June 2024. The company has expanded its global contracted power capacity to 2.5 GW and has made progress in ASIC development, with the completion of the SEAL02 chip targeting 14 J/TH efficiency.
In addition to mining 179 Bitcoin in June, Bitdeer has also commenced the conversion of 100 MW at its Rockdale, Texas site to hydro-cooling. The company’s AI cloud services powered by NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD with H100 system have shown strong demand, crossing 75% utilization during the month.
Linghui Kong, Chief Business Officer of Bitdeer, highlighted the company’s achievements, stating, “We entered into a 30-year lease agreement with Monroe County Port Authority for 570 MW of ready-to-use power infrastructure, positioning us with one of the industry’s largest power development platforms. This deal enhances our operational and strategic flexibility and supports our ambitious growth targets in Bitcoin mining and HPC and AI.”
Bitdeer has also energized the first batch of Sealminers into its data centers for testing and is on track to deploy 3.4 EH/s of its own ASIC technology by the fourth quarter of 2024. The company aims to bring its total proprietary hash rate to 11.8 EH/s by the end of the year.
