“Missing Jay Slater Refused Lift Back to Hotel Because He Was Hungry, Claims Companion”
The mysterious disappearance of 19-year-old Jay Slater in Tenerife has taken a new turn as details emerge about his last moments before vanishing without a trace. The apprentice bricklayer had traveled to a remote Airbnb with two older British men, including convicted drug dealer Ayub Qassim, in the early hours of June 17.
According to reports, Jay refused a lift back to his hotel from the Airbnb because he was hungry, opting to walk back instead. Qassim, who was one of the last people to see Jay before he disappeared, claimed that he offered Jay a lift after he woke up, but Jay declined, stating that he needed food.
TV sleuth Mark Williams-Thomas conducted an interview with Qassim, shedding light on the events leading up to Jay’s disappearance. Qassim mentioned that Jay was eager to leave the Airbnb in the morning and was told about a bus that could take him back. However, conflicting accounts suggest that there was no bus, leaving Jay stranded.
Despite extensive search efforts by the police, Jay has not been found, and the investigation is ongoing. Qassim’s criminal past and involvement in the case have raised suspicions, but he maintains that Jay left the Airbnb alive. The search for Jay continues as his family and authorities seek answers to his mysterious disappearance in Tenerife.
